NWRESA Recognized for Supporting NBCT Certification
NWRESA and ASU Public School Partnership has worked over the past five years to support teacher candidates through the National Board for Professional Teaching Certification process. Out of this partnership came NBCT APPS, support sessions for candidates that include NBCT mentors to provide support. These sessions were hosted by NWRESA and ASU on Saturdays 4 times a year. This support has helped ASU to be recognized for nine years in a row with the most NBCT graduates. Dr. Jim Brooks, Wilkes County Teacher and NBCT Board Member, and Annal Lankford, NWRESA Curriculum Director were recently recognized for the support they have provided.
