Description: |
The 8 Mathematical Practices are the “Rigor” element of the common core mathematics curriculum, as well as lending coherence across the K-12 curriculum. Teaching familiar topics with traditional pedagogy will not meet this rigor and focus on College and Career Readiness. This session is designed to immerse administrators in the 8 Practices through summarizing, critiquing a lesson, participating in a lesson from a student perspective, and ties to assessment. Leave with a “hands on” and “minds on” understanding of this new curriculum element, essential to Common Core Mathematics K-12. (Limited to 30 participants) |
