The
Northwest Regional Educational Service Alliance provides staff
development and technical assistance for member public school systems in
northwestern North Carolina. Inservice is conducted region-wide for all
educators or within individual systems or schools. Regional workshops in
the core curriculum areas of reading, writing, math, science and social
studies are offered, as are sessions in media, technology integration,
learning styles, curriculum alignment and all aspects of education.
Technical assistance and consultation are available to individuals,
schools and LEAs by special request or appointment.
The staff of the Northwest RESA strives to meet the needs of its member
systems in a variety of ways. The Northwest RESA
actively seeks grant opportunities for our member systems in partnership
with organizations and Institutions of Higher Education in western North
Carolina.
The mission of the Northwest RESA is to provide professional services,
quality staff development, and support for our educational community in
a proactive, efficient, and cost-effective manner in order to make a
positive difference in student learning. Member
educators are encouraged to call the NWRESA office for more information
on any aspect of services or to request assistance.
